GSoul shows more of his world through his new single Window Pane (PLT)

Known for his soulful voice and personal sound, GSoul continues to enchant audiences globally. His latest single, “Window Pane (Pretty Lil Thing)”, marks the beginning of a new musical chapter, combining heartfelt lyrics with fresh, captivating sounds. We chat with GSoul about the inspirations behind his new track, his creative journey, and the thrill of returning to the stage for his North American tour!

Congratulations on your new single ‘Window Pane (PLT)’! Could you tell us more about the song?

Well, the songwriter P. Wright wrote this song and my manager, Joseph Kelley, kept this song for me since the first time he heard it. When Joe first heard ‘Window Pane’ he thought it was a great concept that worked perfectly for where I am in my life right now. And also for me to come back out with a new sound different from what my fans would expect from me. To me, it’s a song about perspectives. Talking to someone about how I’d want to show them the world through my “Window Pane”.

The lyrics of “Window Pane (PLT)” explore themes of longing and connection. What personal experiences or emotions influenced the writing of this song?

It’s crazy because ‘Window Pane’ was already written when I heard it. But when my manager, Joe sent it to me I instantly connected to the song because I really have had so many experiences in life that I want to share with my fans through my music. It took me a long time to actually finish recording the whole song. I usually don’t take that long to record, but for ‘Window Pane’ I wanted to make sure my feelings really came across on this record. This song kind of challenged me. There were so many little details on the vocal production. I haven’t done a record like this in a while. It was challenging but also refreshing in a way.

How would you describe your new music in one sentence?

I have a lot of new music I’ve been working on. Different sounds. Different concepts. I actually can’t describe my music in one sentence! LOL! It’s been a long time since I’ve released new music so right now I just want my fans to come into my world and enjoy my new single ‘Window Pane (PLT)’.

It’s all different and we are all enjoying it! – Who are your musical or life inspirations?

Each and every person I’ve met and felt.

That’s beautiful! Now, you have toured across Europe, Asia, and North America. Are there any experiences on tour that have influenced your music or even you as a person?

It’s still hard to believe that I got to do everything that I’ve done. All the experiences, some were very challenging and a lot different from what I expected. If there’s one thing, I gained so much more respect and love for artists who have been doing this longer and still doing it. Also, all the effort and hard work from not only the artist but also from all the staff and the team of people needed to create a show.

A huge shout-out to them! Now, your North American tour starts on May 30. What are you most looking forward to about this tour, and how do you prepare for your shows?

I’m looking forward to seeing how I’m gonna be growing and getting through the tour process this time around. It’s been a minute since I’ve been on tour so I’m excited to hit the road and to share my new music with my fans. This tour will be the first time I’ll be performing ‘Window Pane’ live so I’m excited to see the response from my fans in person! And, obviously I can’t wait to see each and every one of my fans who come out to support.

And, preparing for my shows is kinda different everyday. Some days I’m on calls with my management team, Joe and Victoria, going over ideas for the show and the setlist. Some days I’m working with my DJ on ideas to present the music in a new and exciting way! And then on some days I’m in rehearsals working on making it all come together for an amazing show!

Is there an artist that you would absolutely love to collaborate with and if so, why?

Yea, there’s a few artists that I’d love to work with! Mariah Carey, SZA, Brandy, HER, Summer Walker, Lauren Hill, Kanye, Frank Ocean and Sebastian Kole, he’s an amazing singer/songwriter. And I would love to work with Pharrell. I just think all these artists are so incredibly talented and a collaboration between me and any one of them would be crazy! I always wanna give my fans great music. And I know we’d create something really special together. Something I think fans would really be shocked to hear.

What else can we expect more from you this year?
You can expect more new music! I’ve been in the studio recording and working on new music. So there’s definitely more to come this year! And more shows!

And lastly, your fans, known as #soulmates, have been very supportive. What message do you have for them as you release “Window Pane (PLT)” and head out on tour?

My fans literally have become my #soulmates. I love you and thank you all for all the love and support. Sincerely, I’m bringing my ‘Pretty Little Thing’ tour to your city soon and I can’t wait to see all of you there!
