Emeli Sandé is back and ready to take ownership of the charts once again.
Last week, she teased us with a clip of a track entitled ‘Intermission’, which we can only assume is another track from her highly anticipated album ‘Sophomore’.
Inhale, exhale, release and let yourself receive forgiveness.

It’s been four years since the release of her debut album ‘Our Version Of Events’, and although she was featured on David Guetta’s smash hit ‘What I Did For Love’ last year, we are more than ready to hear some new material from the songstress.
Her career reached great heights after a seven times platinum debut album and numerous awards won, from BRITs to MOBOs, but her relationship was put on the back burner, which eventually led to her (now ex) husband Adam Gouraguine.
Revealing the title of her new single ‘Hurts’ in a short clip on Twitter, we now finally have a date when we’ll be able to hear the full track: the 16th of September.

Though the short clip doesn’t give too much away, the anticipation of what’s to come is enough to keep us hooked.
Explaining why she decided ‘Hurts’ would be the first single, Emeli said, “It felt like everything I’d avoided saying for so long…it’s everything I wish I’d said years and years ago. I didn’t want to hold anything back”.
