Before reading this article, we want you to be aware that this article addresses intense topics such as depression and overdose.
Demi Lovato is back and sounding better than ever. She originally teased her new single ”Dancing with the Devil” in the trailer of her four-part documentary, where Demi will be speaking about what happened during her overdose back in 2018. ”Dancing with the Devil” is the quasi-title track of her upcoming studio album Dancing with the Devil… The Art of Starting Over, which will be released on April 2.
We just couldn’t be more proud of Demi. After everything she’s been through, she keeps coming back. In her new music, she’s saying goodbye to the demons in her life. Demi is definitely a role model for everyone who’s faced a traumatic experience.
In ”Dancing with The Devil,” she opens up with lyrics like: “I told you I was okay but I was lying/ I was dancing with the devil out of control/ Almost made it to heaven/ It was closer than you’ll know/ It’s so hard to say no when you’re dancing with the devil.”
Demi already performed an acoustic version of the song, which you can watch below. And all I can say is that Demi is a true survivor and an inspiration for lots of people.
