BLACKPINK has broken one of the most prestigious YouTube records. “How You Like That” MV is officially the most-viewed video within the first 24 hours as well as the most-viewed YouTube Premiere. The music video sets an all time record for the most streamed YouTube Premiere with 1.66 million current viewers and the biggest 24 hour music video of all time with 86.3 million views.
Before this week, BTS were the record holders with “Boy With Love” (74.6 million views) and “ON” for the most-viewed YouTube Premiere (1.54 million current viewers). Prior to BTS, BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” had held the record for most views within 24 hours.
“How You Like That” marks BLACKPINK’s comeback after a longer than usual pause and it’s the first single from their forthcoming debut album, which should be released this fall. The track (and music video) received an incredible response from BLINKS and (k)pop lovers around the world with impressive debuts on charts worldwide, based only on performance on YouTube.
