Aly & AJ are back and better than ever―their highly anticipated comeback finally making an arrival. The ‘Into the Rush’ duo have announced a brand new single titled, ‘Take Me’ off their upcoming EP.
Posting a snippet of the track on their official Twitter and Instagram accounts, ‘Take Me’ hints at a bubbly 80’s pop vibe and is sure to be an ultimate favorite. Aly & AJ’s resurgence into the pop music scene has struck a chord with many fans―their popularity from Disney back in 2004 as well as their hit single, ‘Potential Breakup Song’ earning them a faithful, loyal fanbase patiently awaiting new tunes.
The duo had previously ventured into a more folk-like sound, rebranding and calling themselves 78violet back in 2013. Reemerging once again as Aly & AJ, they’ve returned to their pop/rock roots―something the majority of their fans are familiar with and perhaps a bit more excited about.
“I think nostalgic is kind of the word we’re getting a lot,” AJ said in an interview with iHeartRadio. “Aly and I are really excited about this music. As you know, it’s been 10 years since we’ve released new material and I’m really excited about getting back out there.”
We couldn’t agree more and we’re counting down the days until ‘Take Me’ drops August 18th.
