Selena Gomez and Beyoncé continue to dominate Instagram

Reigning pop queen Selena Gomez has won the social media race for 2017 with her 130 million Instagram followers, putting her ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo (116 million), Ariana Grande (115 million), and Beyoncé (104 million) as Instagram’s most-followed account.

But even in fourth place, Beyoncé is still out there breaking Instagram records: Her iconic pregnancy photo raked in more than 11 million likes, making it the most-liked Instagram post of 2017.

On the list of most-liked Instagram photos of the year, though, Selena has five of the top 10. Her hospital photo from her kidney transplant has 10.3 million likes, putting it not that far beyond Beyoncé’s.

I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. In fact, the list of the top 10 Instagram posts of the year only includes pics from Selena, Beyoncé, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Will anyone be able to dethrone them by the end of December? Doesn’t look likely.
