Bitch on a Budget: January 2017

It’s January, so that means a whole lot of those “new year, new you” posts. But instead of judging and hating on people who want to use the New Year to better themselves, as Facebook might lead you to do, why not instead jump on the bandwagon and ride the wave into a healthier 2017 you? That’s what I’m planning to do, anyway. It’s the perfect time to try to get a little fitter and eat a little healthier (and, hello, gym memberships are on sale). Inspired by that, here are a bunch of things to stock up on, like affordable workout clothes and gear, to make those healthy resolutions easier—and cuter.
1. Forever21 Active Keyhole-Back top US / UK
This top is the perfect thing to wear to the gym when it’s chilly out in January. The long sleeves will keep you warm while the keyhole back shows off a peek of skin.
2. H&M 3-Pack Sports Socks US / UK
Please, help yourself end the pain of socks that constantly slip off the back of your heel by getting these socks with tabs. They will seriously change you’re life.
3. Victoria’s Secret PINK Ultimate Longline Wrap Sports Bra US / UK
How cute will this look underneath that keyhole back top? The strappy look is super on-trend, the price is right, and it comes in a few colors, too.
4. River Island RI Active Black Mesh Sports Tank US / UK
Show off what you’ve been working so hard to achieve with this mesh tank and tell everyone how fit you are at the same time. Also another opportunity to show off a cute strappy bra.
5. AmazonBasics 20-Pound Dumbbell Set with Stand US / UK (similar)
If you can’t get to the gym because gym memberships cost a fortune, it’s a blizzard outside, or you just can’t be bothered, you can still get in a workout at home if you have the right tools.
6. adidas Originals Black Crop Top US / UK
Literally no sports brand is more trendy than adidas Originals right now, and this is the perfect basic crop top to put under a simple zip-up hoodie. Bonus: it would also look fabulous paired with high-waisted, light-wash jeans (and, you know, worn somewhere that’s not the gym).
7. aerie Hi-Rise Chill Legging US / UK
I love that the name of these leggings implies that they’re better used for Netflix and chill than actual exercise. At the same time, wearing leggings always means you could go to the gym if the mood strikes.
