3 collaborations that NEED to happen in the future

Over the years in the music industry, there have been many superstar collaborations that have rocked the charts (and our hearts) some including the likes of Beyoncé and Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch the Throne’ album and Rihanna and Drake’s numerous collaborations. As you can see there has been so many great collaborations (Beyoncé and Gaga’s being my favourite.. obviously), however, there are a few superstar collaborations that I think need to happen in the future.

Beyoncé and Rihanna

Over the past 10-15 years the charts, the industry, the world have been dominated by both of these ladies. From Rihanna’s incredible 14 #1’s on the Billboard Hot 100 to Beyoncé’s global touring force, both women have changed pop culture repeatedly. Both women are in the midst of their best work to date with Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ and Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ both respectively bringing something incredibly creative and different to the industry.

Both women are linked by a singular person, Jay Z. Rihanna being managed and signed to Jay’s Roc Nation and Bey being his equally as powerful wife. I cannot fathom how huge a collaboration between these two would be, I’m hopeful in the future both ladies will come together and create a song for the ages.

Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus

Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus have previously collaborated on a cover of the 80’s classic ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ however have never released an original studio collaboration. With both being ‘ex-acts’ and both claiming their sexuality in a positive, sexy way. What would a collaboration between the two sound like? We’ve seen Grande and Cyrus be able to showcase their vocals on a song together now maybe it’s time a super sleek ‘dangerous’ track is released that is a full on ‘banger’ (I hope you got the joke there).

Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes

These Canadian hotties are taking the world by storm in 2016, with Bieber’s Major Lazer/Dj Snake collaborations topping charts worldwide and Mendes’ single ‘Treat You Better’ and sophomore album ‘Illuminate’ topping charts globally. Both singers are best when given a guitar, a mic, and a gracefully waiting audience. With Bieber’s stripped down Cold Water sounding incredible every time he performs it and Mendes shows comprising of this mostly. Bieber has shown huge support of Mendes recently tweeting this today…

Could a stripped down acoustic collaboration be on the horizon? I sure hope so, and I’m sure both of there respective fanbases are eagerly awaiting a Mendes/Bieber collaboration
