The best shows coming to Netflix U.S. & U.K. this October
Social life? What’s that? That term doesn’t exist in my mind when there’re new things coming to Netflix. Switch your phone off, get your popcorn out and get comfy because I’ve got you covered.
BLACK MIRROR (SEASON 3)
The anthology series that’s so good, Netflix outbid Channel 4 for the broadcast rights. Savage. If you want a show that’s addictive, different, and has a great story, tune in to series 3 on October 21st. Because if you don’t, you’ll regret it.
THE LAST KINGDOM (SERIES 2)
It’s sort of like ‘Game of Thrones’ but without the dragons. Based on the historical novels by Bernard Cornwell, they say don’t judge a book by its cover. The second series premieres on October 22nd.
HATERS BACK OFF (SEASON 1)
Miranda Sings has her own Netflix show. Say what? And I’m kind of excited to watch it. Being the first scripted series by a YouTube personality, the sky is the limit. Catch the Netflix comedy premiere on October 14th. And if you don’t like it, back off.
THE RANCH (SEASON 1 PART 2)
Love Ashton Kutcher? I mean, honestly, who doesn’t? While not my favourite show on Netflix, it’s something to watch if you’re bored. The second batch of episodes premieres on October 7th.
13TH (DOCUMENTARY BY AVA DUVERNAY)
This is something you’ll want to watch. Tackling racial inequalities in America’s criminal justice system, DuVernay argues that slavery has been allowed to continue – just under another name. A very insightful film that will open your eyes. 13TH premiers on Netflix October 7th.
LUKE CAGE (SEASON 1)
This is the third hit Marvel show to premiere on Netflix – you’re on a roll. If you’ve watched ‘Jessica Jones’, then you’re probably familiar with the character of Luke Cage. Now he has his own show, and it’s great. A man with super strength and unbreakable skin, what’s not to love? ‘Luke Cage’ is already streaming on Netflix.
In conclusion, it seems like I will watch everything on this list. The limit does not exist.
