Rebecca Ferguson recently announced the release of her brand new album ‘Superwoman’ and we are SO excited to hear what it sounds like!
The album is produced by Troy Miller, who previously worked closely with Amy Winehouse, one of Rebecca’s musical inspirations. Having already worked with Rebecca before, you may recognise his name from some of the tracks featured on her previous album ‘Lady Sings The Blues ‘ which was released last year.
After coming runner-up on The X Factor in 2010 proving that winning doesn’t matter, her career has gone from strength to strength. Her debut album ‘Heaven’ released in 2011 peaked at number three in the charts and has been certified twice platinum in the UK.
This will be her fourth studio album and although ‘Superwoman ‘ isn’t out until the 14th of October, we won’t have to wait that long to hear new music from the lovely Liverpudlian. Revealing on her Instagram account, the first single from the album ‘Bones’ will be available to download from the 2nd of September.
Rebecca will be performing on the launch show of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ this Saturday where we’ll expect to hear her singing the upcoming single, and we cannot wait!
Speaking about the album, Rebecca said “It’s my most personal album ever and it’s brought me to a place in my life where I feel strong. I called it ‘Superwoman’ because I learnt to embrace my vulnerability and accept it as a strength.”
