The support acts for Take That’s gig at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park have been announced and concert-goers are in for a truly poptastic night.

Joining the already confirmed artists Olly Murs, Ella Eyre, Jamie Lawson and Nathan Sykes are Grace, Bright Light Bright Light, Ekkah, KStewart, Jerry Williams, Girl Friend, Allie X and Sam Wills.

But who are they?

Grace is pop’s newest single-name rising star who is best known for her cover of Lesley Gores’s ‘You Don’t Own Me’, which raced into the UK Top 5, and also charted in the US Billboard Top 100 last year.

Bright Light Bright Light is an independent artist from Wales who is well and truly bringing synth pop to the forefront of the charts this year. Backed by Elton John, Bright Light Bright Light recently performed with the icon on UK’s The Graham Norton Show.

Ekkah are a rising UK duo who are already becoming a favourite with the critics. Mixing funk, soul, disco and R&B, the pair have recently released a double A-side single (we haven’t seen one of those in a while).

London’s very own KStewart will take to the Hyde Park stage after bursting onto the music scene in 2015 with hit single ‘Keeping You Up’, as well as the summer perfect ‘Be Without You’ – her 90s throwback collaboration with MNEK.

20 year-old Jerry Williams will also giving a helping hand at the month-long festival with her sugar-sweet indie pop, reminiscent of Kate Nash. Jerry will perform tracks from her recently released debut EP ‘A Hairdressers Named Sids’.

Girl Friend are a Manchester-based duo whose synth-driven harmonies and soaring vocals are sure to strike a chord with the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park crowd this July.

Already having a fan in the true pop goddess that is Katy Perry, Allie X is on to a good start. The LA songstress mixes upbeat 80s pop sounds with macabre lyrics, making her music the perfect soundtrack to the summer.

Completing the line-up is neo-soul singer Sam Wills whose EP ‘So Bright’ has been praised critics such as Complex UK and The Line of Best Fit.

Take That, Olly Murs, Ella Eyre, Jamie Lawson, Nathan Sykes, and all of the above will grace the stage at this year’s Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on Saturday July 9.

Other headline performances will come from Massive Attack (1st July), Florence & the Machine/Kendrick Lamar (2nd July), Carole King (3rd July), Mumford & Sons (8th July), and Stevie Wonder (10th July). Tickets are available at the official Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park website.
