K-pop powerhouse aespa lit up London for the second time!

The lights dim, the bass drops, and suddenly, OVO Wembley is transformed into aespa’s world. From haunting visuals to classic aespa songs, KARINA, GISELLE, WINTER and NINGNING left no room for the crowd to breathe. aespa were just pure adrenaline, stunning performances, which created an unforgettable night for their MYs. The girls kicked off their show at 8 PM with dramatic horror-inspired visuals, setting the stage full with excitement for a night to never forget. The tension seamlessly transitioned into their debut hit, “Black Mamba”, sending the crowd into absolute madness! Throughout the night, aespa kept fans hyped with stunning visual effects, dynamic outfit changes, and amazing vocals for the best experience. One of the most anticipated performances of the night was “Supernova”, the song of the year at the 2024 MAMA Awards. The crowd erupted as the beat dropped, proving the song’s immense popularity. Following “Mine” the members took a moment for introductions before showcasing more of their vocal talent in “Die Trying”.

The group started to use the extended catwalk during “Flights, Not Feelings”, delivering a performance filled with adorable choreography and playful vocals. “Better Things”, a full English track, resonated strongly with UK fans, who sang along passionately. At this point, OvO Wembley was truly aespa’s territory, as they were holding their MYs in a chokehold.

The solo performances allowed each member to shine individually. Giselle was up first with “Dopamine”, engaging the audience even before she started, radiating energy throughout her performance. Karina’s iconic “UP” was a certified banger, captivating the crowd with the catchy song and a badass choreography. Ningning mesmerized with “Bored!”, pairing stunning visuals with an impressive routine. Winter closed the solo stage with “Spark!,” a breathtakingly artistic performance that left fans in awe, her movements were captivating and created an absolute dreamy vibe at the stage.

Back as a group, aespa delivered a high-energy performance of another aespa banger, “Spicy” – bringing enthusiasm to the stage. Their genuine joy was evident, with their interactions between songs reflecting just how much they were enjoying the night. One of the most exciting twists of the night came with “Hold on Tight” featuring live vocals and an unexpected fun dance break. The Pokémon collaboration song, “We Go” brought a fun and lighthearted moment, with red star confetti adding to the charm. Meanwhile, the appearance of naevis as a hologram between songs was a fascinating and futuristic highlight.

“Whiplash” was another standout moment, as the members delivered impeccable choreography and striking visuals. The pre-encore set ended on a high note with “Armageddon”, a perfect close of the night.

This London stop marked the beginning of aespa’s European leg for their aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : PARALLEL LINE tour – with Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Madrid up next. UK fans won’t have to wait long to see their favourite girls again, as aespa will return on June 28 for SMTOWN Live in London at Allianz Twickenham Stadium.
