This past week, Daniel Seavey has mended the hearts of his devoted fanbase, his ‘darlings’, healing the heartbreak that marked the start of 2025. On Wednesday morning, he anounced that he is embarking on a world tour. He also revealed that his debut album, Second Wind, will drop on March 7th.
Along with the album announcement, Daniel has finally released the leading track also titled “Second Wind”. It is the song he has been teasing on his TikTok for months. The sound of this track stands apart from his singles and EP, bringing a more vibrant California energy. Instead of focusing on change and grief, it embraces love and new beginnings. Fans have already been calling it the song of the summer. Essentially a song one would listen to when they need a boost of energy to engage in a event. In his Instagram post about the single, Daniel stated that, “[The song] became one of my favorite songs I have ever made. there’s so many layers of meaning in this song but one of my favorite meanings is that it’s about all of you. you guys have given me a second chance, a new perspective, a whole new burst of energy – then that thought became the feeling of the whole album – new beginnings, fresh starts, finding yourself and your path…” Fans are the driving force behind his music, keeping his passion alive during the highs and lows they face.
The album features 12 tracks, including fan favorites like “Other People,” “The Older You Get,” and “Gateway Drug.” This tour is going to be full of serotonin and joy, running from March 18th to June 17th.
