Anne-Marie is entering a brand new era with the single ‘Unhealthy’ and she’s brought along a special guest for the ride. The popstar has teamed up with country legend Shania Twain for the new track.
Posting on Instagram, Anne-Marie shared her excitement about the collab with a video of her meeting Shania for the first time:
“I’m about to have the craziest day, I’m meeting Shania Twain… She’s going to sing on one of my songs. I don’t know what to do, if anything, she said she was going to chill, and I’m like what’s chill to you though, because you’re Shania Twain!”
The song definitely leans into Shania’s country-esque twang, with a catchy hook about always standing by your man. “Well if it’s unhealthy, then I don’t give a damn / ‘Cause even if it kills me, I’ll still take your hand.”
Anne-Marie also dropped huge news about her upcoming album, Unhealthy, revealing its title, tracklist, cover and release date (28th July). While this new track feels like a lead single, the album also features her 2022 hit with Aitch ‘Psycho‘ and her 2023 anthem ‘Sad B!tch‘.
