Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling shine in new Barbie trailer
Barbie is set to hit theaters July 21
Come on, Barbie, let’s go party!
This week, the official full-length trailer for Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated film, Barbie, has finally dropped.
Margot Robbie stars as the famous plastic blonde with Ryan Gosling staring as Ken, her male companion.
While the trailer did not give too much away, we are officially introduced to Barbie Land which is home to multiple Barbies and Kens.
Set to the tune of “Fun, Fun, Fun” by the Beach Boys, we see Barbie leaving Barbie Land to presumably go to the real world, who is begrudgery accompanied by Ken.
Is this a Barbie version of Don’t Worry Darling? Only time will tell. After all, the logline for the movie says, “To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken.”
The star-studded cast also includes America Ferrera, Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, Micheal Cera, Kate McKinnon, Connor Swindells, Nicola Coughlan, Dua Lipa, Ritu Arya, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ariana Greenblatt, Rhea Perlman, Jamie Demetriou, Sharon Rooney, Scott Evans, Ana Cruz Kayne, and Helen Mirren.
