Demi Lovato teases iconic Tyler Shields photoshoot and fans are freaking out
It's a full-circle moment for the singer.
Demi Lovato has answered fans prayers by teasing a brand new Tyler Shields photoshoot. Ever since the pair worked together on an iconic shoot in 2012, Lovatics have been begging Demi to reconnect with the renowned photographer – and now it’s officially happening!
The excitement began last week when Tyler tweeted, “Shooting @ddlovato who’s ready to see this?” and the fandom quickly erupted into chaos. We got our first glimpse into the photoshoot yesterday when Demi shared a handful of the incredible photos on Instagram.
“Made some magic w @thetylershields last week.. more to come soon,” she teased alongside a devil emoji and a black heart. The striking black-and-white shots show Demi wearing a lace bralette and oversized blazer with their wet-look style hair gelled back.
They shared a further post, captioned “*No louboutins were harmed in the making of this photograph*” The edgy photograph is a profile shot of Demi with a woman’s stiletto held between their teeth – again, in black-and-white. Demi tagged the leg as belonging to actor and friend Allie Marie Evans.
The photographer also reposted the image to his grid, revealing “There’s no person I’ve ever shot that I had more requests to shoot than @ddlovato our first shoot was epic this shoot goes to a new level. Comment below if you want to see more…” Uh, of course we do!
The iconic first photoshoot in question was published in February 2012 and became part of his show ‘Beyond the Gates’ at London’s Imitate Modern Gallery. It showed a new side to Demi as the bold shoot saw the ‘grown-up’ then-19-year-old shed their Disney image.

The series of images featured Demi in a black wig, red lipstick and glamorous makeup as they posed seductively. The shoot sparked controversy as it included poses of them smoking a cigarette, as well as suggestively sucking on a lollipop and smashing glass. You can view the entire project here.
It’s still unclear what the new photoshoot is for, but judging by the pair’s history and the sneak peeks we’ve already seen – it’s certainly going to be one to remember.
