As Niall Horan‘s sophomore album Heartbreak Weather dropped, the whole world seemed to shut down and with that take our plans away just as with his. We missed out on him touring with Lewis Capaldi, promo events, meeting fans, among many others.
But that wasn’t going to stop him at all. He decided this was the perfect time to give back. Niall’s heart of gold makes him a reason for pride and joy for Ireland and his fans. So let’s do a recap on all the ways he shared joy through this year.
Staring with the least expected, after he had to cancel his tour and gave the money back directly to his fans without hesitation. He began to constantly check on Niall Nation through his daily-four-hour-long Instagram streams and tweet sprees every other day trying to be a companion for all.
Inspired by his grandma, he decided to donate £100,000 to ALONE and Wheels In Meals which are both charities focused on including and providing services for the elderly in Ireland and in the US. At the same time, he donated WiFi-enabled tablets to every nursing home in Ireland to keep them connected to their loved ones during the lockdown!
Big thanks to #NiallHoran for the hugely thoughtful gift to all the nursing homes in Ireland. Our thanks to you from Rachel and Caroline, DONs in HSE public nursing homes, Dublin. The residents loved it. You did good! @MermaidSea @DeirdrelangLang @IADNAM1

To keep us sane and continue with his philanthropist work, Niall took on a few virtual gigs such as Together at Home, Elvis Stay At Home Ball, Global Citizen, and supporting charities such as Doctors Without Borders, a fundraising event supporting the London Irish Centre, and thanked the volunteers for the work they do.
In recognition of the @ALONE_IRELAND volunteers giving their time and the work they do, @McDonnellsCurry have been inspired to give back this Christmas and are delivering a thank you gift to every volunteer.

To show the importance of the music industry and the crew that makes everything possible Niall paired with Drift and We Need Crew in a live-streamed fundraiser at the Royal Albert Hall. This show raised around $2.4 million.

All of this made him the receiver of the Prases Elit Award presented by the Dublin Law Society in recognition of his work ethics, talent, humility, and “Irishness” and made him gain love from the Irish and people all around the world.
