This isn’t the first time we’ve written about a charitable donation by Louis Tomlinson to one of his fans, and we doubt it’ll be the last.
Yesterday, Louis gave $2,000 — twice — to help cover a fan named Julie’s hospital bills via GoFundMe.
The GoFundMe reads, “About two weeks ago Julie came down with flu-like symptoms, [and] these progressed and turned into her passing out.
“She had to be moved via a helicopter and she’s been in a medically-induced coma since Saturday, January 19th.
“Due to her high blood pressure, the doctors were unable to get MRI imaging done and she’s currently on blood thinners to try and get her blood pressure to go down.”
Originally, the fundraising goal for Julie was set at $2,000. Louis’s first donation of $2,000 immediately took care of that goal, and then his second donation of $2,000 doubled it. Julie’s family has opted to extend the goal to $5,000 now.
“We’re still unsure about what’s wrong [with Julie], nor [do] we know how long she will be in the hospital,” the crowdfunding page says. “I know many of us have been lucky enough to be touched by her kindness and big heart, and it would mean the world if we could come together and help her and her family, even for a little bit, in this very difficult time.”
Louis’s generosity has inspired other fans to give Julie what they can, one even commenting, “Fans stick together. Be well, Julie.”
