Time to pop the champagne, because Little Mix officially have been managed to rack up the longest running girl group no.1 album of the millennium!
The girls snatched the crown from the Spice Girls, who previously held the title for the most number of weeks at number 1 on the Official Albums Chart by a girl band. They’ve also surpassed the last longest reigning, Destiny’s Child’s ‘Survivor’, which who held onto the top spot for four non-consecutive weeks over 2001 and 2002.
But the success doesn’t stop there, as Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Perrie also have 4 singles charting in the UK top 100! The first girl group to achieve this since the Spice Girls. When will your faves ever?
With the girls currently in the midst of their ‘Summer Shoutout’ Tour and due to resume their ‘Glory Days’ Tour the end of this month, we won’t be surprised if the girls scoop up another few achievements before the year ends.
