Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets is out of this world
After the success of ‘The Fifth Element’ and ‘Lucy’, French film director Luc Besson is at it again and has yet another box office smash up his sleeve in the form of new film ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’.
What song is being played in the trailer?
The song is called ‘Because’ recorded by The Beatles from their album ‘Abbey Road’.
What’s it about?
Based on Pierre Christin’s comic series, the futuristic first trailer shows both Cara Delevigne and Dane DeHaan (who played the Green Goblin – ‘The Amazing Spiderman 2’), play the roles of government operatives Valerian and Laureline who arrive in the intergalactic city of Alpha. The pair of intergalactic police partners (who work for the human government) are seen battling various weird extraterrestrial creatures. This definitely looks like going to be an action-packed film all sci-fi lovers will enjoy.
In addition to Cara and Dane, Rihanna also stars in the film although we don’t get to see much of her in this short trailer. I’m not sure who she plays, or even her character name in the film at the moment, but the blonde hair she’s rocking definitely suits her.
With a high profile cast and amazing special effects, it’s going to be one to look out for.
When is it out?
The film is set to be released in July 2017. Although this might seem ages to wait, I’m sure we’ll be treated to a few more trailers before then. Let’s hope so anyway.
