DROP EVERYTHING! Seriously, close all your other tabs because nothing is as important as this. The new ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ trailer has been released. It is everything. I think I’ve watched it at least five times already. I thought the teaser was hype, no way. This has got me all excited.
Firstly, can we just take a moment to appreciate how adorable Baby Groot is? I want a spin-off starring just him. He is just so cute. I love him already. We all need a Baby Groot in our lives. Agreed?
Another reason why I love this new trailer so much is Chris Pratt. This guy is awesome. He can definitely bring the hilarious one-liners to the film. But again, so does the rest of the cast (as far as I can see). The Guardian squad has reunited and I need it now. And the sexual tension between Star-Lord and Gamora is so real. I am here for this.
But you know what? I need Gamora to not just be Star-Lord’s love interest. I need her to be the badass character I know she can be. Please, GOTG writers, don’t stuff this up. Because you have a fantastic female character here. Use her.
Finally, the action looks great and I have a feeling I’ll enjoy Vol. 2 as much as I did the first. Despite my disappointing viewing of ‘Suicide Squad’, please Marvel, I know you can deliver once again. This has the potential to be so phenomenal. I’m hyped.
