Get excited for ‘Moana’ with this brand new released clip of the Disney animation

As the months fly by, it’s exciting to think we’re getting closer to seeing Disney’s latest animated film, ‘Moana’.

The feature film follows the venturesome teen Moana as she leaves her safety net of her island on a dauntless journey to save her people. With her love for the ocean undefinable, Moana persuades the mighty demigod, Maui, to join her on her assignment and he hesitantly helps her to become a wayfinder, much like her ancestors who sailed before her.

The film is directed by filmmaking duo John Musker (‘The Little Mermaid,’ ‘Aladdin,’ ‘The Princess & the Frog’) and produced by Osnat Shurer (‘Lifted,’ ‘One Man Band’) which also features the likes of famous faces including Jemaine Clement (‘The BFG’, ‘Despicable Me’), Rachel House (‘Whale Rider’, ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’), Temuera Morrison (‘Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones’, ‘Once Were Warriors’), Alan Tudyk (‘Wreck-It Ralph’, ‘Big Hero 6’ and Pop princess, Nicole Scherzinger.

It’s refreshing to see a princess such as Moana provide more diversity as she joins the Disney royal family being a representation of the Polynesian race and culture. Moana will also be a beneficial member of Disney royalty by similarly following Princess Mulan and the sisters of Frozen in sharing the feminist message that women can also be their own hero as there is no love interest assigned in this upcoming Disney movie.

Speaking about the star-studded cast, Musker says: “Our assembled voice cast for this film is beyond our wildest dreams. We are so fortunate to have this group of talented actors, many from Oceania, breathing life into their characters.”

If you’re looking for persuasions as to whether or not you should go and see this film when it releases in cinemas, here is a sneak peek of one of the scenes featuring Moana (Auliʻi Cravalho) and Maui (Dwayne Johnson) meeting for the first time.
