After making a big entrance with her comeback single ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ earlier this year, Katy Perry’s ‘Swish Swish’ featuring Nicki Minaj has been released as an instant gratification for fans who her preorder her new album ‘Witness’.
The bouncy song sounds like a club track, with lyrics that warn those who dare to cross Perry (who refers to herself as a tiger that “don’t lose no sleep/don’t need opinions/from a shellfish or a sheep”). I wonder what her favourite animal is…
‘Witness’ is due to drop on 9th June, which is just a few weeks away, and it features the Platinum-certified hit ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ featuring Skip Marley as well as Katy’s new single ‘Bon Appétit’ featuring Migos.
If you can’t get enough of Katy’s new era, you’ll be pleased to know that tomorrow she will be the musical guest on the season finale of ‘Saturday Night Live’.
Of course, with a new album comes a new tour, and Katy has announced the U.S. leg of the ‘Witness’ tour. It includes two shows in New York City, one which will be in Madison Square Garden.
Miss Perry will be partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to donate tickets to club members and volunteers. $1 per each ticket sold will also be donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Tickets for the U.S. dates go on sale Monday 22nd May with Canadian dates on sale 26th May.
