There are so many things that are just common sense that people don’t do. I’ll see it happen in front of me and I’ll just question the human existence. It leaves me baffled and I cringe inside. I’m sure most of you can relate to these pet peeves. Because if you don’t, you probably do these.
1. WASHING YOUR HANDS
You’re probably thinking “who doesn’t do this?” And you’d be totally right. The amount of times I’ve seen people use the bathroom and not wash their hands is horrendous. Some of these people work with food, how gross. Seriously? Have some respect for yourself. It might just be me but I think it’s yuck if you don’t wash your hands after using the bathroom.
2. REPLYING TO A TEXT
Image this. You send a text and the person replies straight away. Perfect right? Yeah, this is never the case. It’s even worse when I send the text and that person is replying in the group chat on Facebook. Um, hello? You’re clearly using your phone, please reply to my message. Please tell me I’m not the only one this happens to, otherwise I may need new friends.
3. PEOPLE TALKING WHILE I’M WATCHING TV
Every time I try to watch the new episode of my favourite TV show, why is it my parents decide to have the loudest conversation ever? Like honestly, really fam? The best part of the episode and my mum decides to ring up her best friend and talk super loud. Alright then. However, when she’s watching something, I have to shut up. I see how it is. I may need to move out.
4. SOMEONE EATING YOUR FOOD
Especially leftovers from the night before. I’ll go to work, come home and BAM. My brother has eaten the food I’ve purposely saved. The disrespect is so real. I might have to start labelling food with my name on it if this keeps happening.
5. PEOPLE DRIVING SLOW WHEN YOU’RE RUNNING LATE
Every single damn time. Whenever I’m running a little bit late for work, there’s always some idiot in front of me driving so slow. Move bitch, get out the way. Honestly, not today. This pet peeve really pisses me off.
6. CHANGING CHANNELS
That one person in your household who has to take control of the remote. This is my dad. My mum says it’s an extension of his dick. Oh lord. He always has to change the channel all the time. He can never leave it on one station. So frustrating.
7. WHEN THE GROUP CHAT IS LIT WHEN YOU’RE AT WORK
If I’m at home doing shit all, no one messages me. Nothing interesting is happening. However, whenever I’m going to work, everyone is inboxing all this goss and I can’t read it because work. Arghh, not fair. And as soon as I finish, there’s 200+ messages to read. The chat is now dead and I hate everyone. SOML.
